Fish-salting in the Northwest Maghreb in Antiquity: A Gazetteer of Sites and Resources

This volume is a detailed gazetteer of fish-salting production in the northwest Maghreb in antiquity. It consists of a catalogue of fish-salting sites in addition to catalogues of other related resources that are necessary for the production and trans-shipment of the industry’s products: salt and amphorae kilns. The gazetteer is intended to serve as a comprehensive source book of data, corrected and updated to 2015, for those interested in the ancient fish-salting industry in general and, more specifically, the history and structures of past exploitation of marine resources in the region.
